My Oriental Vacation II Macau

Day Three Macau!!!!

Its 1 am after a long eventful day I sit at the bay window of the 18th floor of the Venetian hotel in its best suite onlooking the City of Dreams. What i could see was breathtaking. There is a deep silence and right out of my window I can see the VIP lounge of The Galaxy Hotel. It is so full of activity and buzz.

The Galaxy Hotel

Earlier this morning it all started with something which I was looking forward to.The elaborate breakfast and I got to try different cuisines including the Sushi.

Our last day at Schenzhen and a Ferry trip to Macau.
The immigration was not as difficult as the Chinese immigration but it was much more interesting as we could feel the Breeze,Watch the ferry at the harbour and also take a whiff of Diesel( I love the Smell of it).

Though I boasted of being adaptable and extremely adventurous, the ferry was much smaller than the Ferry that I had been on and we were not allowed on the deck.It was fully air conditioned and there were three sections of seating .Its was an hour and a half travel and I was forcing myself not to be nauseous. We cleared immigration and had lunch at the infamous Aruna Spice restaurant.
Walking on the street to get to the restaurant I just fell in love with the city.It was a perfect blend of Chinese and Portuguese Culture .The buildings were painted in Red/Pink and Yellow which represented Happiness money and long life.

The roads were all paved I did not see even one square foot of soil anywhere.

There were bridges,Old Portuguese buildings churches and a lot of motor bikes.

The ruins of St Paul’s Church. It was a vertical erect Humungous Church altar.

Built from 1582 to 1602 by the Jesuits, the cathedral was one of the largest Catholic churches in Asia.It was destroyed by a fire during a typhoon in 1835.

There was a similarly tall metallic stairway on which your could climb and reach half way through the church.
It was peaceful,mysterious and thrilling.

We walked through the famour paved streetways sto see stalls selling dried meat, sugar candies. The people here are warm and friendly and they make the best babies in the world.

We lost a family here in the meandering streets and had to wait there for more than an hour to ensue to the next destination.

We were now the the 1013FT tall Macau tower. After getting the tickets we ere on the 58th floor of the tower on the observatory to get a beyond belief view of the city. It had 34Casinos making it the second biggest gambling city in the world. The second Las Vegas.

On the 61st level we were on a open observatory where we could feel the current of air on our faces. We had glass flooring and could see the bottom of the tower from there.

An observation deck with panoramic views, restaurants, theaters, shopping malls and the Skywalk and a thrilling walking tour around the outer rim
We also saw a young lad Bungee Jump from this 1013 ft building. The macau tower is the World's biggest bungee jump facility in the world.
We drove through the Buddhist statue of kun lum and also the A Ma temple.
It was time to check in to the Ventian. How do I describle the beauty of this place. The IIFA award function when hosted in Macau housed the stars in this Hotel.
There is a main lobby for the celebrities, dignitaries and othere VIPS whereas the rooms and Suites were at the west lobby. We had our South suites facing the Galaxy hotel and Casino. It well light all through the night and we could also see a laser show at the Casino. Our Hotel venetian had a Casino and an array of the luxury brands like Canali,Louis vuitton,Victoria secret ,bottega veneta and more,It had venetian gondola rides, artificial painted sky and a wonder world effect. Our suites were king size. The cots had multiple layers of bedding and laces curtains, paintings carpets ,bath tubs dressing tables. It was royale.

Browsed through a few good stores in the Four seasons arena at the Venetian.

There are two lobbies at the Venetian the main lobby and the West lobby. The main lobby is where the celebrities dignitories and VIPs .

We clicked pictures of the hotel and proceeded to The ferry terminal. We had to carry our heavy Luggage to The immigration and a Handsome Cop offered to help me with my luggage when my father had no choice but help my mother with the luggage.

The Famous Macau Square.

Yet another ferry ride to Honk kong ....a fast paced city.and faster our trip would end.
