Severe headache,backache and doing all the man job possible .
Bookings in place, electricity, internet, phone, tatasky bills to salaries of watchman, maid and apartment maintenance.
Finally its the day to leave. Maid cannot come . Oh well ! Its fine just a few extra dishes to wash, sweep and dispose trash. Packing luggage and gifts for all back home.
A restless night of aches pains and mosquitos followed by a super busy morning of namesake shower and stretches.
Mentally ticking the various things to do on my checklist! Heater off ?Tick !
Cooking gas ?Tick ! Tickets ? Tick!
All these as i wait for the cab after explaining the simple route to my apartment!
I wait and wait and wait . Make some frantic calls to cab agency and driverhe just wouldnt reach me .
I made a few neighbours explain again and again landmarks and shortcuts to the driver.
I left my luggage behind and in the morning chennai sun walked to the nearby main road in my little black uniform dress with a few whistling, a few judging . I get an auto and come back for my luggage .
Is this the end of my adventurous morning ?
As i settle in, now the auto needs to stop for fuel .
I have the keys to my workplace and need to be there at 10.30 sharp and its 10.05 and i am still the way
And i reached on time :)
how about subscribing for annual packages on bills....say tatasky? that way you are spared the every-month torture....and btw, come on....a lbd as work uniform is bound to get you a few wolfwhistles in conservative chennai....for them..you are probably as exotic as a siberian crane flying overhead....enjoy the stares and admiration as your due....it just means you rock...
